However, the Captain is currently facing the toughest storm of his life. He is battling advanced liver cirrhosis, a condition that has progressed to the point where a living donor liver transplant is the only way to save him. 2-year survival rate of the advanced liver cirrhosis is currently estimated at only 30%.

Despite the physical pain and exhaustion, the Captain remains focused on the horizon. He recently shared these moving words:

"I have spent my life looking at the ocean, dreaming of its future. My journey is not over yet. I want to stand on the deck again, look out at the blue water, and see Seaballoon finally take flight into the depths. I want to return to the sea I love."
